
Valarie Rochell Jackson Memorial Scholarship
The Valarie Rochell Jackson Memorial Scholarship is available to seniors in Ferriday, Louisiana. This scholarship was created by her daughter Daniella to honor her mothers legacy, educational values, hometown, and a tribute to honor the family legacy and culture. This scholarship will help students seeking to further their education with a commitment to community advocacy and overcoming poverty.
Two students will be awarded $1,000 scholarships directly to their preferred institution of higher learning.
Eligibility Criteria

High school seniors in Ferriday, Louisiana

Community service/volunteer work experience

300 word essay explaining your plans for higher education, community advocacy and personal growth
