MENTOR PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Volunteer Management
Manage a team of Professionals and college students providing mental health support, career preparation, and life skills groups to students virtually and onsite.
Duties include but not limited to:
To assist with program curriculum to increase knowledge of social, emotional, political, historical and current events
To recruit and oversee mentors while building and maintaining positive role modeling relationships with adolescents aged 14 and up.
To recruit and oversee the Education committee members
To facilitate or manage the facilitation of educational groups for the purpose of mental
wellness, economic advancement, financial literacy, and political science knowledge
To assist with planning and organizing career day community events with first
responders, mental health professionals, educators, and other community builders.
To empower community members and promote higher education by increased
awareness of grants and scholarship programs
To maintain confidentiality, dignity, and respect of all persons and members
To facilitate or manage the facilitation of Psycho-education, processing, and skill
based mental health support groups to clients of the program
Marketing & Recruitment
Seeking and enrolling new mentees and volunteers to grow our team and community outreach.
Requirements:
21 years or older
Able to attend at least 1 event per month and assign a Group Leader (21 or older for other events you are unable to attend)*This role is currently on a volunteer basis with the potential to transition into a paid role for administrative tasks*
FUNDRAISING EVENTS MANAGER
Do you enjoy large events and having a great time? We are seeking a fundraising manager and event volunteers to assist with tending the concessions stands at different sports games, music festivals, and other major events at local arenas, event centers and stadiums in Miami Date and Broward County.
Event Volunteer Description:
Events usually take place on the evenings or weekends
We are seeking adults and students to fill this role
Your participation in these events will help with fundraising to our nonprofit organization and help us expand our programs and people served.
Students will be given community service/volunteer hours for their participation
You will also get to meet a variety of different visitors and watch major music festivals and sports games for free!
Transportation will be provided to and from the events if needed.
Fundraising Manager Description
Volunteer Management
Manage a team of 10 or more volunteers ages 14 and up at the concessions stands at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.
Duties include but not limited to:
Scheduling a team of 10 or more volunteers for each event
Scheduling transportation to and from the event with our transportation provider
Completing orientation and food preparation and safety class with the stadium
Manage inventory of products during the duration of the event
Responsible for completing monetary transactions
Responsible for assigning team members to designated roles: food prep, cashiers, cleaning station etc.
Marketing & Recruitment
Seeking and enrolling new volunteers to grow our team so we can rotate members throughout the month

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Program Management
Manage a team of Professionals and college students providing mental health support groups, mentoring services, community discussions and outreach events virtually and onsite.
Administrative Duties
To develop action oriented policy reform ideas along with the President
To act as chairperson for membership drives, fundraisers and campaigns
To engage in public speaking events in the absence of the President for marketing purposes and community engagement
To work closely alongside the leaders of different committees within the Mental Exchange, Inc. to promote agency structure and program development f
To build and foster membership relationships
To oversee program coordinators and volunteers
Find applicable grants and equip grant writer(s) with information required to apply for grants
Duties include but not limited to:
To assist with daily operations to increase community knowledge of social, emotional, political, historical and current events
To recruit and oversee volunteers while building and maintaining positive role modeling relationships.
To recruit guest speakers in alignment with our principals to facilitate informational groups for the purpose of mental wellness, economic advancement, financial literacy, and political science/civic engagement knowledge
To assist with planning and organizing career day community events with first responders, mental health professionals, educators, and other community builders.
To empower community members and promote higher education by increased awareness of grants and scholarship programs
To maintain confidentiality, dignity, and respect of all persons and members
To provide onboarding and training to new program volunteers and community partners.
Requirements:
Understands systemic racial inequality and socioeconomic barriers
Passionate about partnering with others to overcome societal barriers and improve socioeconomic and educational status
21 years or older
Bachelors degree in business/management or social/human services related field.
5 years relevant experience within at least two or more of the following fields: monitoring/coaching adolescents, mental health, healthcare responders, civic engagement community outreach, program management, business relations, financial services.
Resides in Florida or familiar with south Florida region to provide resources and build community relationships.
Available at least 30 hours per month to fulfill administrative tasks associated with role.
